Bethesda's Prey reboot is out in just a few days, and now the company has announced what kind of PC rig you'll need to run the first-person adventure game. In addition, the publisher has revealed how much free space the game will take up on consoles and announced when the full game is available to pre-load.

On PlayStation 4, you'll need a minimum of 42 GB to install Prey, while on Xbox One that figure is 38 GB. Although the game itself actually takes up less space than that, Bethesda says "a patch will be available on launch day [May 5], which will require additional space," hence the numbers stated here.

The news emerges on the same day Prey's demo became available for free on PS4 and Xbox One. The trial will give you an hour-long glimpse into the life of Morgan Yu, lead scientist aboard the Talos I space station. Bethesda has previously revealed that players can choose whether they want to play as a male or female Morgan, and that events will pan out slightly differently depending on which option you pick. Your environment can also change depending on your relationship with Morgan's brother, Alex, who happens to be the boss of Talos I.

Prey videos are coming thick and fast as we head towards the game's May 5 release date. One recent video highlighted some of the game's supernatural powers, while a previous trailer showed off some terrifying alien enemies.

Prey is a reimagining of the 2006 original, and a replacement for the canceled sequel to that game that was in development at Human Head Studios.

The new title is seen by some as a spiritual successor to the 1994 game System Shock, while we also think it's been inspired by BioShock. We recently went hands-on with Prey, and you can see our thoughts on it here. Alternatively, take a look at these exclusive images.
