Best Picture nominees include Arrival, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Hidden Figures, La La Land, Lion, Manchester by the Sea, and Moonlight. Best Actor nods went to Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea), Andrew Garfield (Hacksaw Ridge), Ryan Gosling (La La Land), Viggo Mortensen (Captain Fantastic), and Denzel Washington (Fences). Best Actress nominees this year include Isabelle Hupper (Elle), Ruth Negga (Loving), Natalie Portman (Jackie), Emma Stone (La La Land), and Meryl Streep (Florence Foster Jenkins).

Overall, La La Land picked up 14 nominations to the lead the pack. According to Entertainment Weekly, that ties it with Titanic and All About Eve for the most nominations in the show's 89 years of existence. Moonlight and Arrival received eight nominations each, while Manchester by the Sea, Hacksaw Ridge, and Lion picked up six nominations each.

It's a big day in the movie world, as the nominees for the 89th Academy Awards will be announced this morning. This will happen as part of a livestream broadcast that begins at 5:18 AM PT / 8:18 AM ET / 1:18 PM GMT.

We will update this post with all the categories and nominees when they are announced.

The actual awards show, which is hosted by comedian and late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel, takes place in Hollywood on February 26.
