Now Playing: GS News Update: Mass Effect Andromeda Getting Early Access Trial

PS4 players will seemingly not get to play the 10-hour trial, though an upcoming multiplayer beta offers a glimmer of hope--the beta's platforms have not yet been confirmed. Developer BioWare confirmed that Andromeda would have a multiplayer mode in November 2016. You can sign up for a chance to take part in the pre-release play period here on BioWare's website.

EA Access is the publisher's subscription service. It includes similar early access trials for many EA games, discounts on EA purchases, and a number of free EA games. Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 were recently added to the instant game collection. Check out all the EA/Origin Access Free Games here.

In other Mass Effect news, BioWare has confirmed that Andromeda will not have a season pass. There is likely to be DLC for the game, but it remains to be seen how it will be released. BioWare has said it is plans to discuss specifics at a later date.

Andromeda launches on March 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For more on the sci-fi adventure, check out all of GameSpot's previous coverage here.
