And Kate Wright proved she is taking to life away from reality TV perfectly, as she enjoyed a trip to Dubai with footballer Rio Ferdinand where the duo looked happier than ever while cosying up poolside, where she lay on his chest in an extremely sweet display before exchanging giggles and chats.

The 26-year-old former TOWIE star showed off her sensational figure in a scanty black bikini as she chilled out alongside her beau in the plush hotel, while he displayed his athletic physique in simple black swimming trunks - making their holiday ensembles extremely complementary.

Last month, Kate revealed she was quitting the limelight to focus on Rio and his kids. Speaking for the first time about their relationship, she told The Sun: 'I’m taking a step back from the public eye, I want to keep my life private as I lived my previous relationship on TOWIE, my priority right now is Rio and the family.'

The pair have gone from strength to strength since since going public with their romance earlier this summer. Just weeks ago they shared their first snaps to social media, having remained relatively elusive about their love.

Clearly stronger than ever, the happy duo looked chilled out as they soaked up the sun on the relaxing break in which they looked every inch the perfect couple in the environment.

Earlier this month, Rio spoke about his relationship with former TOWIE star Kate Wright for the first time in a candid interview on This Morning. While discussing his new book Thinking Out Loud he spoke in depth about overcoming grief and the 'positive' effect Kate has had on his life.

Rio lost his wife Rebecca in 2015 following a short battle with cancer aged 34 leaving him the primary caregiver to his kids.  The footballer - who was spotted without his wedding ring for the first time in the appearance - explained how he got through his darkest days and how he allowed himself to be happy again with Kate.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, he said: 'Well I went and saw the widowers, they opened up about a few things. I went and saw Darren Clarke, the golfer, and there were so many parallels in our and he said “look you will be happy again”.

'To hear that from someone who had gone through the steps as me helped me open up. Now especially after that meeting that made me feel that there is an opportunity to be happy again. I’m happy again, and in a relationship and it’s going well.'

He added that he has been open with his relationship with his three young children and confessed that his new romance has been a positive effect on the whole family. 

After soaring to fame on TOWIE in 2015, when she was introduced as the ex-girlfriend of show heartthrob Dan Edgar, she became a fan favourite, with her sizzling figure and girl's girl personality winning hearts.

As she moves away from the spotlight, Kate's now-former agent told MailOnline: 'Over the past two years we've seen Kate grow into an amazing woman, I'm really super pleased for Kate and proud of her and support Kate's decision as she moves into the next chapter of her life, away from the public eye.'

Rio shared the first ever snap of the duo on his Instagram account in August as they chilled with his family at Blanco Beach Club in Portugal. Taking to the photosharing site, Rio's 2.4million followers were treated to the snap of his entire family, while Kate beamed in the middle.

The footballer added a caption on the shot reading: 'Decent day with the fam', alongside a heart emoji in a happy nod to the state of their relationship.

And joining in on the Instagram action, Kate uploaded a photo which she captioned 'lunch with the girls', the reality star showed how close she has become to her beau's twin half sisters Remi and Anya, along with fellow relative Chloe.
