Boy, 15, is charged with the knifepoint rape and robbery of a woman in her forties

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the knifepoint rape and robbery of a woman in her forties, police said today.

The teenager from Lee Green in South East London is alleged to have attacked the woman at Sutcliffe Park in Kidbrooke on Wednesday last week.

The teenager, who cannot be named due to his age, is alleged to have threatened another member of public with a knife in the same park on the same day.

He is also charged with robbing a woman at knifepoint on Handen Road in Lee three days earlier.

The teenager was arrested on Tuesday by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation & Child Abuse Command.

He will appear in custody at Bromley Youth Court today.
