He was arrested after a female shopper spotted what he was doing and confronted him.

Police searched his home and seized his cameras and a computer, where the images were stored.

Watkin appeared at Worthing Magistrates' Court today and said: 'I'm not a bad man.'

He claimed he was losing his sight as a punishment for his crimes.

Watkin pleaded guilty last month and was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for a year, ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge at Worthing magistrates court on Monday.

Chair of magistrates Robert Francis ordered his equipment and images to be destroyed.
