Belgians eat giant omelette in Malmedy despite egg scare

The Belgian town of Malmedy feasted on a giant omelette, defying the egg contamination scare.

Traces of an insecticide, found in eggs, have hit poultry farms in Belgium and the Netherlands.

But Malmedy says its eggs are fine - and townsfolk enjoyed the traditional omelette.
