In Case You Missed It: Robert Mueller Was FBI Director During The Russia Uranium Investigation
Mediaite ^ | 20 Oct 2017 | Larry O'Connor

Is it time for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to recuse himself from his investigation into Russian activities in the 2016 presidential election?

Lost in much of the discussion over this week’s developments in the growing Russia/Uranium/Clinton scandal is the fact that none other than Mueller was the FBI Director during this investigation. And that investigation is under serious scrutiny.

Under Attorney General Eric Holder, the FBI informant at the center of the probe was prohibited from revealing any of the details of the investigation to members of Congress because of a non-disclosure agreement that has been characterized as unusual by the informant’s attorney, Victoria Toensing.

In fact, as the Obama Administration was weighing the sale of uranium to a Russian-backed firm, none of the details of the active FBI criminal investigation were disclosed by the Executive Branch to Congress. Then-House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers told The Hill:

He had never been told anything about the Russian nuclear corruption case even though many fellow lawmakers had serious concerns about the Obama administration’s approval of the Uranium One deal.

Yesterday, President Donald Trump called out the media for their obsessive coverage of the as-of-now-evidence-free Russia/Collusion story while not probing deeper into the Russian/Uranium/Clinton scandal which blew-up this week thanks to investigative reporting by John Solomon at The Hill and Sara Carter at Circa. He might want to have a conversation with Mueller and his own Deputy Attorney General as well.

Not only is Special Counsel Mueller tied-up in the uranium imbroglio, but the person supervising the investigation was then-US Attorney Rod Rosenstein. Rosenstein is now the Deputy Attorney General and after Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Russian meddling case it was Obama appointee Rosenstein who decided to name none other than Mueller as Special Counsel for the probe.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Mueller needs to resign form the probe...

Why is it always President Trump who must step up to the plate with these things? Where is the Congress?

0bama, Clinton, Abedin, Lynch, Holder, Lerner... Time for them to face the music.

Let’s go boys and girls and MAN UP for once!

Wow.

Even Mediaite is openly acknowledging this?

I’m one of the few who feel Mueller should stay at this task. Leave him alone. Let him keep digging that hole.

He is as big a joke, as big a fool as Joe Biden, Frederica, Maxine, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton and other such idiots.

He’s a useful idiot for our side.

There are so many conflicts of interest involving Mueller, Comey and Rosenstein, related to any Russia investigation, that this would be the major story every day until all three resigned, if we had an objective press. - And none of those three can claim a shred of integrity or professionialism by the simple fact that they did not recuse themselves from any and all of these investigations.

And every Republican should be screaming to high heaven about this ridiculous and rigged situation.

How did Mueller, Comey’s best friend, come to head up the investigation? Well, his other good friend Rosenstein, deputy secretary of the DOJ, appointed him because Jeff Sessions decided he liked the job of secretary but didn’t want to investigate anything related to Russia.
So Mueller hired 13 of Hillary’s lawyers, and they start framing President Trump on bogus Russian collusion charges and whatever else they want to investigate…no boundaries to their charge. How convenient!
This is one of the most ludicrous government schemes in U.S. history, and that is saying something.

Lou Dobbs said that the whole lot either were in on the Clinton scam or knew about it, including Sessions who has conveniently recused himself from all things Russian.

Sessions fooled many. He was obviously just another swamp rat. Until we get rid of all of these professional politicians and elect folks that are like everyday America -we will be led by Wall Street and/or the highest bidder for votes.

Because Congress can't do anything. They can hold hearings. Period. They can't indict, prosecute of imprison. That's the role of the Executive and since no one at DOJ seems interested in doing anything unprompted it's going to be up to the President to force their hand.

.......the Obama administration approved the uranium deal with Russia (thus imperiling US ntl security). But this squared w/ the America-hating Obama's goal to diminish America's supremacy in the world. He relished doing this........

Obama made a concerted effort to know, for example, that Russia bribed its way into the American nuclear energy industry. Obama and Susan Rice passed the time time (A) listening in to phone conversations, (B) sifting through intel, and, (C) gathering information, from all over the globe.

ITEM--The FBI uncovered the Russian bribery using an undercover mole within the Russian nuclear industry to gather evidence from all manners of sources, including emails and recordings. These surreptitious communiques showed that Russia had gained access to Transport Logistics International, a trucking company, paying some $2.0 million in bribes in return for no-bid contracts. This violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. (Source: The Hill, op cit.)

ITEM---More egregiously, the evidence showed complicity between the Kremlin, the Clinton Foundation, Hillary Clinton, and the Obama administration. All of it suggests that Vladimir Putin backed 2016 Hillary. As the deal progressed, the gilding of the lily commenced, and uranium investors' donations to the Clinton Foundation to facilitate the uranium takeover, most assuredly found their way into financing Hillary’s campaign.

So sad to realize that the corruption is so deep and so long-established that none of these criminals will ever see actual jail time or face a death penalty.

Mueller was a sideline player in the Uranium transaction to lend what was then his good name to the embezzlement.

The Devil's Disciples.

Going to the Rose Garden----Obama formally nominated James Comey as the seventh FBI
director and thanked his predecessor, Robert Mueller, for being "an exemplary public servant."

For several years we heard from both Rats and Rinos what public servants of unimpeachable integrity and professionalism both Comey and Mueller were. Now we should all know what to think in the future when we were hear such biparitsan praise of long term swamp creatures.

I go back and forth on the crazy special counsel because it makes no sense to me. There is no way these people who were in charge of the FBI during all this corruption(which they investigated, turned over to Justice and were stopped) could think that going after Trump on Russia would ever work if they themselves have such dirty hands.

What makes more sense is that this has been a rope-a-dope. Follow the thinking.....

Mueller and Comey had FBI investigations on the Clintons swept under the rug by the Justice Department under Obama. They know where there is real Russian connections(having seen the investigations done by FBI) and probably do not really want to be part of going down with the Obama administration treason. Both have met with Trump privately before this special counsel was appointed. If you were them and had a decent bone left in your body would you turn and help take down the bad guys or possibly go down with them? They know the lower levels of the FBI were going to squeal and present the evidence once Trump was in power.....How many caught up in the Clinton and Obama mess would take a way out if offered.

The Dems and media are now on the books as championing these guys and Sessions as honorable people, thinking they were going to take Trump down and impeachment is coming. But if those Obama administration employees were to instead present a real Russian collision case that takes down Obama administration players do normal Dems listen(not the hard left), unlike if it was group of republicans taking Dems out?

If you are trying to keep a civil war from happening it would need to be their own people putting top level Dems under inditement. You listen to how republicans are responding to the idea of Mueller's Clinton dem lawyer crew indicting Trump for impeachment is going over(with calls for arms) and you realize that the opposite would then be true if you go after the Clintons and Obama administration. You would need an unimpeachable source doing the indicting for that part.

Do I know this is true....no. But a bunch of corrupt Clinton Dems indicting Trump makes no sense to me unless you want civil war. We are being prepared for something with this push on the Uranium story. They are turning the tide on Dems and Russia in the minds of Americans. Mueller's team is either there to not go down with the ship and go after the Clinton Foundation preparing the case to keep civil unrest at a minimum or the most corrupt bumbling conspiracy in history to take down a sitting US president or they are distraction while a case is being prepared.

What I can not wrap my head around is the fact that they had Mueller deliver a sample of Uranium....how can you lead an investigation into Russia and be part of indicting anyone if you were part of the play......this goes for either side indicting Trump or Obama officials so maybe I am way off base.

He’s been in on every terrorist attack beginning on 9/11 to Ft. Hood, to Boston Bombers, to San Bernardino... He’s flat out refused to act on terrorist warnings from other countries. He’s been a domestic enemy for decades.
