Bannon Plotting Fox News Competitor As Curious Details Of Roger Ailes’ Involvement Emerge

Former Chief White House Strategist and current executive chairman of Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, is wasting no time in expanding the leading populist news network. Bannon is reportedly plotting a television channel to rival Fox News. Strikingly, the idea was first proposed by former Fox News CEO, the late Roger Ailes.

Axios reports:

Axios’ Jonathan Swan hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he’s going to start a network.

Axios has more:

Before Roger Ailes’ death on May 18, he expressed a final wish to some of his few remaining confidants: to get back in the game, with a conservative network that would position itself to the right of Fox News, as his baby became more moderate under the next generation of Murdoch leadership.

In his final days, Ailes sent a message to Steve Bannon in the White House that he’d love to team up on a new conservative media powerhouse.

Bring over Carlson, Hannity, Dobbs, O’Reilly (not that I’m a BOR fan) and a few others and they will blow the new PC FOX out of the water.

Just merge Breitbart with OANN, which already has a live-streaming channel on Roku.

OANN needs some work, IMO.

Hannity has golden hand cuffs at Fox. He’s not going anywhere unless they fire him, IMO.

There’s not a contract that can’t be broken.

All he has to do is start talking about the Seth Rich murder and he’ll be out the door the same week.

Hannity has more money than he’ll ever need. He has higher motivations that making the most possible money.

That's why the merger would make more sense. Each entity has what the other one needs. Breitbart has the website and global reach; OANN has the streaming service.

No need to start a channel. Everyone is getting rid of cable and satellite. $10/month for a live-streaming channel would blow the competition away.

Very interesting. FOX has neutered itself with its pandering to the left swamp and constant anti-Trump diatribe. And the presence of so many light weight and left-pandering people.

There is clearly a place for a REAL AMERICAN, CLEARLY ANTI-LEFT station/network and even newspaper. Its customer base would be the patriots that elected Trump, et al.

Go Bannon, make something happen positive for the REAL AMERICA and its people.

Make 2 extra competors to fox. One for the up and coming “populist” talk show host, the younger ones.

I flew out of LaGuardia Friday (what a shthole).

CNN was on every screen in the close quartered terminal C.

They put a screen next to each departure gate to maximum the propaganda.

It’s sickening.

On a positive note, nobody was watching.

I may have to look into streaming options for OANN. My cable company won’t carry them. That is likely a problem with a new conservative network. How to force the cable companies to include them in their packages.

OANN seems to be the alternative news now. I find it very relaxing w/o the Vitriol of CNN, and the PC of Fox. More news, and reporters that seem to be right out of HS, but we love it. Wish Tami Loren was back, not that the new blonde isn’t fitting in well. We refer to it as the little (smaller) news network. It won’t be popular with the snow flakes and and the pajama boy crowd.

Bring over Carlson? You are indeed living in an alternate universe - and, it ain’t the alt/right one for sure....
