In some offensive fashion developments, one brand tried to make swastikas trendy, reports Mic.
KA Designs attempted to put into production a collection of T-shirts and sweatshirts with the Nazi symbol on the chest. The white cotton garments were screen printed in rainbow colors with swastikas paired with words such as “zen,” “love,” and “peace.”
KA Designs announced “the swastika is coming back […] introducing: the new swastika.” The brand also released a video on Facebook explaining why they were trying to “take back the swastika.” The video explained, “This is a swastika. It’s 5,000 years old. It’s a symbol of peace. It’s a symbol of love. It’s a symbol of luck. It’s a symbol of infinity. It’s a symbol of life.” It then goes on to remind us all (as if we needed a refresher) that the Nazis claimed the symbol as their own, turning it into one of hatred, fear, war, racism, power, etc.
Huh? While it's true that the symbol existed prior to World War II, it is now so synonymous with the horrors of the Holocaust that there is really no need to “bring it back.” What’s more, simply turning the awful geometric shape into a rainbow and pairing it with words such as love and peace does not erase its history as a Nazi symbol.
Following the video's release, the internet's rage reached a new level when samples of the tees appeared on Teespring, sparking the hashtag #BoycottTeespring to trend on Twitter.
The shirts have also gotten the attention of the Israeli-Jewish Congress, as the Executive Director, Arsen Ostrovsky, posted a statement on Facebook that reads, “Seriously Teespring? 'Peace with Swastika. Let's make the Swastika a symbol of Love and Peace.' Do you not realize how obscene and offensive this is? This is not art or free speech. It's disgusting and deeply hurtful.”
In a statement to Mic, KA Designs wrote, “We really enjoy the swastika. Not because of any of the meanings associated with it, but because of the shape and of how it looks.
However, the strong bond between the swastika and Nazi values was unbreakable. We didn’t feel free. For the right reason. So we ended up using this symbol with the aim of sharing its opposite values: love, peace and freedom. Our project wants to express the victory of love and humanity against hatred and Nazism in general.”
Not only is the design horribly offensive, but it will undoubtedly be purchased by Neo-Nazis and used just as Hitler had intended.
Horrifyingly enough, KA Designs doesn’t seem to care. In a statement for Dazed, they wrote, “We think the message on our apparel is clear: peace, love and freedom win over hatred, war and prejudice. If some kind of neo-Nazi goes out wearing our shirt, he will raise the same kind of questions and discussions as a communist wearing the same shirt. That’s why we don’t care about who buys the shirts.”
Friggin Nazis ruined a perfectly good symbol, probably forever.

Went shopping for near 16 yr old grand son’s some school clothes, he wears men’s XL T’s all I found were stupid cartoons or gang crap, he won’t wear the first, 2nd not accepted by school. This is the crap they are mass marketing to our children. Not even the Navy base had any thing else.
Run a custom apparel shop in your garage.

I doubt there is much market for these in the US, but in other countries, they may sell quite well.
In Fiji, one of the young women who worked in the resort was named Swastika. I think I still have a receipt with her name on it.
In Mongolia, I saw swastikas everywhere. One nomad woman I met wore a swastika necklace. I took a picture of a beautiful hand-painted table, which included a repeating swastika pattern as a motif. When I went to buy a souvenir t-shirt, I avoided buying one with a huge swastika on the front. Instead, I ended up buying a t-shirt with a painting of Mongolian warriors on the front—but the t-shirt company logo on the back includes swastikas. (They are so small I do not think anyone will notice.)
None of these Fijians or Mongolians think of a swastika as a bad thing. To them, it is a symbol of peace and love.

That’s awesome stuff! It corrupts the use of the homo rainbow by associating it with the nazi symbol, but still reinforces core leftist word art. I wonder if these tops were actually printed or if the images live only as conceptual products. Nazi sympathizers likely aren’t going to buy anything with homo symbolism.
Look up the symbol for the 45th infantry division before WW2.
