In an interview Thursday with Alter Family Politics on SiriusXM, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) weighed in on former President Obama's upcoming speech to Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald. Obama is expected to receive at least $400,000 for the speaking engagement.
TOMMY ALTER: Senator Warren, what do you think about President Obama accepting $400,000 from Wall Street?
SEN. ELIZABETH WARREN: Well, I was troubled by that. One of the things I talk about in the book is the influence of money. I describe it as a snake that slithers through Washington. And that it shows up in so many different ways here in Washington. People understand the money that goes into campaign contributions. And when I say “understand” I don’t mean they think it’s okay, but at least people see it.

If you look forward....through 2017, 2018, and 2019...I would take a guess that former President Obama will take in around thirty-million in various fees collected. For the 2020 election....he and his ‘foundation’ might be of some influence.
Gee I wondered what will happen when she finds out he did 2 speeches for 400K a piece almost 1 million dollars in one week. She will me even more troubled.

Thank goodness she is not outraged. Not long ago her grandmother gave speeches to Manhattan bankers for whiskey and four wampum. Sold the damn place too for more whiskey and some new lodge poles.
