PHOENIX So the Oakland Raiders are prepared to pack up their silver-and-black bags, back up the diesel transporters and truck to Las Vegas. The billion-dollar NFL question is: when? No one knows for certain not even owner Mark Davis. By a landslide 31-1 vote, NFL owners Monday approved the franchises second departure from the Bay Area, this time to the growing Las Vegas metropolitan area. The Miami Dolphins were the lone dissenting vote. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and some owners said that the league wanted to remain in the nations sixth-largest TV market but that no viable stadium-building solution could be worked out in Oakland between Alameda County officials and the Raiders.

They’ll still always be thugs and hoodlums, like Baltimore ... in my mind.
As a life-long Chief’s fan there is nothing more loathsome than the Raiders and their supporters. And I don’t care where they are hanging their hat.
I stopped matching NFL games or carring what the NFL does.
The problem with conservatives is they still support busunesses like the NFL, Starbucks, Washington Post instead of not buying the product.
You could say the thing about buying or using Microsoft products or buying Ford.
Both of those companies have given tens of millions of dollars to things that conservatives abhor and are working towards our demise, yet nobody ever calls them out on that, but they get their panties in a snit because .1 or less of people working in a franchised industry do something idiotic and distasteful, even if the NFL has given nowhere near the financial or even political support that those two companies have.
And those two companies are just two examples, there are plenty more.
What people use or don’t use, buy or don’t buy is a personal decision and should stay that way.
"matching" and... "carring?"
It appears stockpirate doesn't proofread... either--
Oh well, in the Fall, stockpirate can invade the NFL Live Thread... and tell all of us what sorry SOBs we are for matching and carring---
I can hardly wait until Tony... leads the Texans to a victory over them Vegas Raiders in next years playoffs!
Traffic near McCarren Field already nightmarish. Will only get worse with stadium.
Thing is, unless someone is squeaky clean and lives in a hole in the ground, I don’t want to hear it.
You buy gas for your car? You support muslim terrorists.
And so on. I just see it as “virtue signaling”.
I make my own sacrifices on things, but if I have a life to live.
I am not going to live in a hole in the ground.
I can get by without Starbucks and Coca Cola products, but to get to the point where you can throw stones at other people, you have to live a tiresome and silly lifestyle.
I don’t have time for it. I have spent many actual days on the front lines facing off against liberals in person as well as making targeted patronage decisions in my life, I’m not just a keyboard warrior.
Conservatives do not surrender and move to some off the grid cabin in Montana out of fear of having a dollar go to some cause they don’t support. Let the liberals fuss and fret over Chick-Fil-A and Harley Davidson being successful. They look silly.
So the “Traders” are at it again. How long until they return to Oakland this time?
I just see it in the same light as Al Gore and his ilk telling me not to own a big house or drive a big car, while he jets all over the globe in his private jet and has multiple enormous houses.
If liberals want to boycott Chick-Fil-A, I don’t have a problem with it. Their dollars, they can do as they wish. The market will bear out whether Chick-Fil-A is rewarded or punished for taking a corporate stance.
I feel the same way about conservatives making choices like that. As Milton Freidman advocates in as many words, let people make choices they want to make and let the chips fall where they may, the market will follow.
It is a conservative view that I subscribe to.
Vegas and Nevada putting up 750 million in public money. Just curious if someone who lives in Vegas knows, are they one of the states crying poverty and deficits?

Add ESPN and Disney
There isn’t much to dislike about the guy, also speaking as an opposing fan. He is a tough, smart team player, and leads...and doesn’t come across like an a-hole, like a certain talent-less hack from San Francisco.
He does break the mold of the stereotypical Raider quarterback in that he's actually very good. But trust the Raiders to screw it up somehow.
Will the fans switch from the typical Raiders wear, spiked outfits etc. To show girl attire, satin & sequined?
I miss the Baltimore Colts...
Bendy, Bendy, Bendy...your exuberance is duly noted but us Yankees, who have watched several "savior" QBs flame-out and crash [let's see, F. Tarkenton, G. Landry, J. George, several Polski QBs of DahBears, J. Cutler, shall I go on?]
Your post can only be accompanied by the following graphic...reportedly Tony Rhomo -the 'R' is silent!- skateboarding in Houston....
