I commented on one of the Johnny Rotten threads, that I was a DJ, back at GA Southern.

Well, I did a Jazz show, and I opened it with this piece.

I'd break with Keelee’s Twist. Joey Dee and the Starlighters.

Different, interesting, and also difficult to listen to for a guy like me, but mesmerizing. Thanks for posting!

I don’t really dislike Jazz, I DON’T UNDERSTAND jazz...

Hamiet Bluett did an album called 'If you have to ask, you don't need to know'.

I get where you're coming from.

Any questions, please ask. I may not have the answers, but I'll try to find them.

Bought most of his albums and really absolutely loved Renaissance, ymmv.
IMHO, far superior to Scenes.

Also of later vintage, “Eternal” is an absolute powerhouse.
Recommend it to everyone, jazz lovers and those who don’t understand.
It’s absolutely beautiful.

Wait....are you saying you performed Marsalis’ piece or are you saying you are Branford himself?

Believe it or not, Boots Randolph was a pretty serious jazz player. He just saw the money.

I love anything that doesn't force my subliminal brain to sing along, but takes me for a ride.

I didn't love and appreciate/develop this until my latter years when I finally said to myself, "No ... I DON'T have to go to work."
