Am I the only one who is bothered by policing agencies appearing as this one does in slide three of this article?
No, you are not the only one.
They all look disturbing. #3 doesn’t stand out anymore that any of the others. They project control, authority and consequences.
Be more specific, some of the pictures are more optically harsh than #3.
FUBAR.
Why so many cops for a lone dude in a dinky town?
Glad I wasn’t up there today...
Nope not disturbed. I see 2 heavily armed police officers and a police dog. That’s all I see.
Look through the pics.
Looks like 50+ LEO
I see an occupying army. Potentially a federalized police force willing to do the government’s bidding.
This whole thing is stupid. It is a guy in a fight with his wife and an army shows up. Force is not always what needs to be projected. A little And Griffith goes a long way.
Oh yes. More than 50. They were out a few years ago because someone had shot an arrow into a parked car. They surrounded a house for over 48 hours before gong in. When they entered, they found no one home.
M4L SWAT
Yeah I just did see the rest of them. I apologize for missing that. Need to really get more facts on the incident and what info the police had.
Remember, Barry was real good at second guessing the police when he didn’t have all of the facts. He was wrong 100 percent of the time.
So let’s see what comes out. Mistakes sometimes are made. I see 1 paragraph underneath the pics so maybe I missed something there as well. We shall see.
Sometimes optics are misleading. Sometimes they are right on the money.
But with that said sometimes mistakes are made and somebody has to be held responsible.
Is Sonoma County a hotbed of crime?
"According to a witness, a SWAT team used several flash grenades. When they entered the home, however, the suspect was not there."
In brief, the usual combination of brutality and incompetence.
Jeez, keystone cop time. They had someone “barricaded” in a house who refused to come out. They eventually go into the house and nobody is there. At least some cops got some overtime pay.
Not really a hot bed. A deputy shot a kid with a toy AK. I think it was a good shoot. The kid refused to comply, was a problem kid, and had a weapon that would have fooled me (Former Marine). The officer was an Iraq vet. The good things they do never get the press. They messed with some guy in a car they stopped with the spikes, gassed him, sent in the dog, etc. They messed with him a long time despite his idiocy, they kept their head and eventually got him without serious harm to anyone. Overall, the deputies and even most of the local cops are good. The militarization of the cops bothers me. I think they look unprofessional. I like the old uniforms and ways. To a former Marine, they look like they are playing army. They lack a certain skill set. It send s the wrong message.
