There is also agreement that immigrants who come to America with modest levels of education create significantly more in costs for government than they pay in taxes. A recent NAS study estimated the lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) of immigrants by education. Averaging the cost estimates from that study and combining them with the education levels of illegal border-crossers shows a net fiscal drain of $74,722 per illegal crosser.2 The above figures are only for the original illegal immigrants and do notinclude any costs for their U.S.-born descendants. If we use the NAS projections that include the descendants, the fiscal drain for border-crossers grows to $94,391 each. If a border wall prevented 160,000 to 200,000 illegal crossings (excluding descendants) in the next 10 years it would be enough to pay for the estimated $12 to $15 billion costs of the wall. Newly released research by the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) done for the Department of Homeland Security indicates that 170,000 illegal immigrants crossed the border successfully without going through a port of entry in 2015.3While a significant decline in crossings from a decade ago, it still means that there may be 1.7 million successful crossings in the next decade. If a wall stopped just 9 to 12 percent of these crossings it would pay for itself. If a wall stopped half of those expected to successfully enter illegally without going through a port of entry at the southern border over the next 10 years, it would save taxpayers nearly $64 billion — several times the wall’s cost.

Against trillions, billions aren’t that much. It is still worth it just for the lives it will save.
I am sick of those politicians who say: “There are better ways” (presumably drones and other technological measures).
Even if those ways were effective, they could be turned off in the stroke of a pen after Trump leaves office.
That BIG, BEAUTIFUL WALL WILL STILL BE THERE, hopefully for CENTURIES.
Not so easy for sleazy, globalist politicians to get rid of it.

And just how to you put a pricetag on the death and destruction these people bring with them? That number isn’t in this estimate. And insofar as for paying for the wall is concerned, I’d like to see Trump take it directly from the remittances Mexico’s thieves send home because it would serve two purposes: 1. It would deprive Mexico of the cash flow that is the largest “income segment” it has today. and 2. It would put the pinch directly on those here illegally and their blood sucking relatives. That’s killing two birds with one stone. And take enough of the remittances to really make it hurt. The IRS has rules about the percentage it takes from lump sums of untaxed income. Unless the Illegal could prove he’d paid taxes, the levy should be 50%. And we could also have ICE “raid” Western Union offices and any other places where money can be wired to Mexico.
Kick them all out and save $113 billion every year.

They don’t want anything that works to prevent the flood of illegal aliens.
Michael Medved has been the perfect spokesman for them. For years he argued that illegal aliens were not a problem.
Then when it became obvious that the American people were fed up with the invasion he immediately switched to the claim that there are too many illegal aliens to deport and therefore you had to amnesty them all.
This is not believable. $64bln over 10 years is a fraction of what the wall will save.

Not pot. Heroin, crack, meth, molly, Special K, oxys, roxys. From Detroit to the Appalachians to upscale white neighborhoods, it’s killing us.
Wait a minute - I thought the uneducated voted Republican......what a twisted web they have woven when every other story they put out contradicts a number of earlier stories.....
