Here's a funny one. Liberal neighbor has aha moment. She told my husband - a geochemist/ water scientist - 'We thought it was so cool when they took out the Hetch-Hetchy dam (up by Oroville!!) and put in nature trails and little exhibits, so it could be back to the natural way it is supposed to be. But right now that doesn't seem like it makes very much sense. AND all the trails and exhibits were washed out by all this rain and flooding.
Husband: "Yes, the humans got lost in the shuffle." Another liberal bitten by reality. For some reason I am thrilled to hear that all the trails and exhibits were washed out. Made my day.
You mean a flood plain flooded?
Dan you are right. It was another dam. There is always talk of taking the dams out and letting the ‘land return to nature.’
But they did build nature trails and exhibits at Hetch Hetchy. And they were washed out. And it did make me laugh.
and yet they will still remain clueless liberals.
Every “problem” that liberals “fix” ends up creating more and worse problems.
We are always behind the curve here in CA, now that the permanent drought is over, we probably need to revisit our plans to keep California from developing an inland sea. This Winter is not over by a long shot.
Hetch Hetchy is very dry and lonely. Not worth the drive. Better to fight the crowds at Yosemite..
Huh? San Francisco has been using bottled water instead of draining Hetch Hetchy?
If one can imagine Hetch Hetchy valley pre-dam area it rivaled the magnificence of Yosemite. BUT, since it quenches San Fagsicko’s water needs it shall remain forever dammed. Instead, Brown will destroy the dams of Klammath which are nothing special.
I suspect the real driver behind removing the Klamath River dams are the power companies that own them. They’re old, out of date and economic, practical alternatives exist for power (not wind/solar).
If socialists dont ha e realcor manufactured problems, they cant use the dialectic and delphi techniques to implement their desired “solutions”.
My God, if they had just built the high speed train none of this would have happened!
haha
