Mr. Garfinkle of Garfinkle’s New Method Hebrew School in Milwaukee used to frequently echo King Solomon’s admonition; “There’s nothing new under the sun.” I was reminded of that this week when the rapidly unfolding “scandal” of Trump’s purported dealings with Russia hit the news. It has more than a few similarities with the Dan Rather faked-up story of GW Bush’s National Guard service where an anonymous, never-found source supposedly gave Bill Burkett a demonstrably fake report and Dan Rather ran with it. This time a Bush (Jeb) is involved but as an instigator of the story, not a victim. John McCain acts as the intermediary passing the junk on to the Intelligence Community, which makes sure it is published.
If you’re confused about it, let me put it in the context of the most reliable information I’ve been able to put together, noting that I think the story is likely to become even more clear over the next few days. As you will see, the dossier is so ridiculous, if anyone in the Intelligence Community fell for it, he’s too stupid to allow in place, and if no one did but they still played a role in publicizing it, everyone involved needs to be fired
A. Digging Up Dirt on Opponents
In September of 2015 someone -- now revealed as a Jeb Bush Super PAC donor -- paid Fusion GPS, a Washington, D.C. outfit, to compile a dossier of dirt on Donald Trump. Fusion engaged Christopher Steele, a former MI-6 agent in London, to do the job. While early accounts of the story refer to him as a “respected source”, he has a history of dumpster diving for Democrats.

They just don’t like being out of power. It goes against what they see as the natural order of things.
If Trump read an Obama speech verbatim, the left would be calling it the most fascist thing they ever heard and Trump should be impeached. It’s not the message they hate, it’s the messenger.

Is ‘Deep State’ just a less sinister name for ‘Shadow Government’, or are they two different entities?
It is a combination of projection and misdirection. Whatever the Democrats plan to do, they first try to get people worked up over the possibility that *Republicans* are apt to do such a thing (then the Democrats go on and do the thing). When Democrats are actively engaged in something that they do not want to see the light of day, they loudly publicize it while screaming, "Look what the Republicans are up to!"
Hillary took huge donations from Russia in return for giving them 1/5 of our uranium production capacity. To distract us from that fact, the Democrats keep pounding this drum that Trump is in Russia's pockets--even though there is still zero evidence of such.
Do not fall for the Democrat's lies. Instead, use every chance you can to point out their tactics.
I've tended to discount much of what is published on this "American Thinker" site because it's amateur, but amateur though it may well be, it always pays to be on alert for "facts" such as this being slipped into the narrative.

Its not confusing if you accept the concept that the Democrats will say or do anything to get and retain power and control. Hence their outrageous hypocrisy which we see on a daily basis.
To them, politics is blood sport and the ends justifies the mean.
They will throw anything up against the wall in an effort to get something to stick. The only guiding principle they have is the goal of political power.

More sinister, actually. The party out of power in England has their own unofficial “shadow government” to make speeches, write newspaper articles, etc. opposing the real government.
“The Deep State” is not a small collection of politicians as Britian’s “shadow government” is. It’s the 99% of the federal government (FBI, CIA, VA, SSA are just a few examples) that are not elected or appointed and continue regardless of who just got elected as President, think tanks, lobbyists, much of the military, etc.
“The Deep State” writes 1000-plus-page bills that may sit on shelves for years before being magically presented at a moment’s notice (Obamacare, TARP), where the blizzard of non-Congressional regulations are formulated, lobbied for, and implemented, where the policies and procedures for militarizing the police are hatched and nurtured, etc.
There are plenty of Democrats in R jerseys involved in this.
The Uniparty is scared out of their minds that We The People are taking back our country and our government.

My comment was focused on Democrats since it was germane to the thread. If you want to launch into a broad exploration of political motives of the different parties, interest groups, and personalities now that is a subject best brought up under a different thread.
Just wait...the Democrats will hire two prostitutes to PEE on the bed at the Moscow Ritz Carlton and VIDEO TAPE it......Just wait!!!!
Oh, and they will dig up an old newspaper with the date of Trumps stay and put that on the video also!!
