Sony announced a new smartphone for North America yesterday. The Xperia L1 is a pretty standard midrange Android device that features a USB-C port, runs Android N, and comes in pink. These are all good things. Here are the rest of the specs:

  • 5.5-inch HD display
  • MediaTek Quad Core processor
  • 2GB RAM, 16GB memory with up to 256GB expandable memory
  • 2,620mAh battery
  • 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera
  • Includes a headphone jack

Sony says the phone will be affordable, but we don’t have pricing information yet. It’ll be unveiled closer to the L1’s April release date. Now, clearly this isn’t anywhere as nice as the company’s newest flagship, which it debuted at Mobile World Congress, but it’s at least a new device with an updated OS.
