In a move that Democrats in the committee fought very hard to resist, a house panel has approved a legislation that will allow a government watchdog audit the federal reserve's spending.
Democrats in the committee were firmly against the bill.

Long over due.
Isn’t it interesting how there is no variation of opinion on the part of Democrats on this issue, even as they take part in no public discussion whatsoever about it.
Ping...
Of course they are. They know the cat is about to be out of the bag. And scratching like hell!
Great news!
The Top item on Ron Paul’s bucket list.
Rand, is the ‘dipper’. Drink it all in, till the very last drop.
Chances are if it is poured into the seas, the water shall rise substantially.
Awaiting to set aside all reservations and actually count the gold supposedly in Ft. Knox
I bet the Dems are sweating like all get out now...maybe we will find all that money that bami sent to Iran on a plane, in the middle of the night with guards...
When folks get down on Trump from time to time, I wish they’d remember all the positive things that are taking place since he was sworn in.
It’s like he does one thing wrong, and you get the, “I told you so...” folks just so gleeful.
Do none of the folks have any concept of how much good Trump has done so far, and we’ve only gotten started?
There will be speed bumps along the way. I’m not going to go heavily negative against him, until he has done something negative that as become law of the land.
This guy gets it better than anyone we’ve seen to date.
^5 to what you said!!!
I’m a little disappointed. I thought that perhaps someone was going to bring Comey to heel.
Thank you HarleyLady27.
Hope things are good for you these days.
Yes, the past several months have been “good”. I will cut Mr. Trump slack.
Thanks.
My prediction is that this never becomes law. Too many heavy hitters are involved in the shenanigans by the FED that allowed all those involved in the financial crisis to remain whole. I believe there was one sacrificial lamb (Lehman) just to make it all look good.
If this ever does become law, I hope it allows for the examination of FED books, not just going forward, but also looking backward so as to expose how much U.S. taxpayers' dollars were sent overseas to save the hide of foreign banks.
Comey's days as FBI director are numbered. He went public stating unequivocally that there was no surveillance on Candidate/President-elect Trump. Then he stiffs the Intelligence committee closed door session.
If he knew about the unmasked surveillance then why was he so definite in his criticism. He could have said the FBI is tracking down every lead we are aware of and I can not comment in a public forum about any ongoing investigations.
If he didn't know about the disseminated intelligence then he's incompetent and the whole FBI needs an overhaul.
I look for him to resign in the next couple of months as it becomes clear the FBI had a copy of this information (being on the list of agencies that should receive it).
FAKE AUDIT until I see an actual audit.
This is very good news. I have friends that will be very glad to hear this. Like others said, way long overdue.
CGato
Trump should fire this incompetent!
Don't give Comey the satisfaction of being able to say in the future that he resigned.
