As you know, this fight never happened. But if it did, who would have won?

I think Lewis would have won by stoppage. Bowe had some of the worst defense I've ever seen in a HW.

A prepared Bowe was impressive and had a good inside game but Lewis was too technical, I think UD via Lewis

Lewis would have prepared for Bowe properly, and taken him seriously, there is no way Bowe wins that fight, and he knew it

Lewis would have KO’ed Bowe.

Lewis would’ve knocked his head off.

There is a reason why bowe binned his belt rather than face Lewis. I think the amateur loss bothered bowe

Bowe ...better at close range, equal at long range.

Lennox had a tendency to get into brawls when things weren't going his way
...that's when Bowe would take over and put Lennox away sooner or later.

But Lennox seems to be the go to guy around here ... who was the best after Ali? - Lennox
... who wins prime Tyson and Lennox? - Lennox ... who wins Bowe vs. Lennox? - Lennox.

I must've missed something. The guy was beatable.

Bowe.

Lewis wasn't the late 90s/early 00s Manny Steward version people think of now at that point in time.

He was still making amateurish mistakes and Futch would have put together a strategy and seen holes for Bowe to capitalise on, same as how Steward did with McCall.

Combine that with a motivated Bowe, which I think he would have been, which was rare and really only happened with Holyfield 1 and Gonzalez (who also beat him in the amateurs) and I go for a Big Daddy win.

the guy who fought holyfield the first time would not be easy for Lewis, not in any way. any other time he probably wins. but honestly, in that era both guys had some horrible performances, bowe had unimpressive performances just about each time and Lewis only looked impressive a few times himself.

Bowe was terrified of Lewis. Lewis by KO.
they said a lot of guys avoided lewis, I didn't see why in those years, I always say as a champ he proved himself but he was very beatable before that, very beatable.

Everything spot on.

Lennox Lewis had trouble with fighters that were his height and had great jabs and right hands, that could fight him on the inside. Small Heavy Weight fighters don't give Lennox any trouble, fighters like Mike Tyson and David Tua.

Lennox Lewis, most difficult fights against certain opponents. Who had size and good jabs and right hands who wasn't afraid to got to war with Lewis.

Lennox Lewis Vs Zeljko Mavrovic 1998

Mavrovic jabs and right hands and size, gave Lennox serious trouble in their fight, Mavrovic had heart and was tough as nails.

Briggs hurts Lennox Lewis real bad.

1994 09 24 Lennox Lewis vs Oliver McCall
Lennox gets knocked out

Lennox Lewis vs Vitali Klitschko

Riddick Bowe was giving Lennox Lewis hell in their Olympic fight, hurting Lennox, real bad but for some reason the Ref stops the fight when Lennox landed two right hands, fixed fight I believe.

Riddick Bowe that's fights Lennox at 100% in their fight beats Lennox, because Bowe could match Lewis jab and right hand and had the size and heart to give Lennox trouble. Also Riddick Bowe was a better inside fighter then Lennox was, but Lennox had quicker feet then Bowe, but Riddick"s size and jab takes away Lewis's quicker feet. Just like Klitchsko took it away.

Riddick Bowe by knock out, in a war, with both boxers tasting the canvas, but Riddick wins knocking Lewis out.

Rematch is a different fight, with Lennox staying on the outside boxing Bowe and knocking Bowe out, because Bowe comes in the fight overweight and out of shape, with a real bad training camp. Lennox Lewis"s quicker feet becomes a factor this time do to Riddick Bowes weight problem and slow feet and defense.

Bowe. Lennox was not some boogie man.

What advatages does Lennox hve other than maybe slightly better technique

Bowe was better than a lot of fighters who gave Lewis plenty of issues. Lewis was the more talented fighter, I think, but Lewis, especially before Steward, was rather inconsistent and a tad raw. Bowe had plenty of flaws himself, but he was damn good when he was on (he beat a prime Holyfield arguably cleaner than a prime Lewis was able to beat a faded Holyfield, don't forget). Lewis had far better longevity and discipline outside the ring (which contributes to him having a far greater resume), but if we're talking around 92/93ish, Bowe would definitely have a chance.

I’m pretty sure hasim Rahman doesn’t meet the criteria of the same size as Lennox...
