It's no secret at this point that Cerrone will likely never win a title unless he has some Michael Bisping-type stroke of luck. I imagine that he would be a much better fit for Bellator at this point. There are several fun fights for him at 170 like Rory, Larkin, and Daley. He could also likely be champ there if he returned to 155, I just don't see him losing to guys like Chandler or Primus. What do you think, would a move to Bellator be beneficial to Cowboy at this stage of his career?

He's doing fine in the UFC, fans love him, the brass love him,

Probably not. I think Cowboy is one of few fighters that gets paid decently so Bellator probably couldn't offer him much more. I dont think he even wants to be champion that bad really, he just loves to fight.

bellator doesnt put on enough cards for cowboy to get his normal amount of fights

TS, never thought of that but you just might be right. I think with his whole Cowboy persona and exciting style of fighting, he could make more in sponsorships and probably be valued more by the company.

No, he seems like the type of guy the UFC will always be willing to make comfortable financially.

Some of those guys might also give him trouble

I don't think so

He hasn't fallen THAT far yet. Bellator is a repository for UFC fighters who can no longer draw. That doesn't fit Cowboy. People love to see him and the UFC loves to let them. Doesn't matter if he's ever the Champ. He's still a great fighter that people love to watch.

Lima, Rory, Larkin, Koreshkov, Chidi, and even MVP beat the overrated Cowboy

Bendo is there and I would love for him to avenge that bullshit loss if Cowboy goes there.

He would take a MAJOR pay cut. Less fights, and his sonsors would all cut what they pay him.

Cerrone would beat Woodley, and just lost a very close scrap to Lawler, that some think he won. Not crazy to think that, with the right fights, Cerrone could finally touch UFC gold.

Why would he be better off? He's doing well in the UFC in terms of pay and rankings. He's been elite in 2 divisions and gave a recent former champ at 170 a tough close fight.
