Luke Rockhold vs Gegard Mousasi who wins and why ?

Pick em imo.

Luke is a little bigger and stronger physically, but if Moose is on point he could tko him.
 
Mousasi.

Better striker.
better chin.

Luke better ground game but weak takedowns.

Luke is the bettee fighter overall but styles makes fight.

As long as Mousasi doesnt slip ... he wins.

I think Luke is better everywhere. Takedowns whenever he wants. Way better ground game. Better striking.
 
Pretty even fight until we get to beard.

If Luke gets him down it's over. His top game is too brutal. Don't know why he bothers with striking, he could be a GSP with finishing ability. Standing up, he should still be able to beat Mousasi though.

I'm edging towards Rockhold in a three round fight. In a 5 rounder, I'm completely split.

Gegard has the edge in the striking and has a much better chin, but I think Rockhold's reach, athleticism and trips + top control wins him a decision.
 
Mousasi by durability, fight iq, and now he's a finisher. Rockhold is skilled with no chin

I agree with the first part, but to be fair, Rockholds boxing is terrible and his kicks shouldnt phase a kickboxer like mousasi.

no way is rockhold better on the feet. His hands are garbage, and mousasi's kicks are just as good.
 
Honestly, I think Luke might be the best middleweight in the world.
I'd tentatively pick him to beat anyone in the division.
 
I got no real mma love for either fighter, but would lean towards Luke because of his length. I'm talking height reach, not what he maybe packing...
 
Usually pick Luke as I feel he's the top guy in MW. But dude hasn't fought in like a year, so who knows how he's gunna look. Love Moose though so it will be a fun fight with either outcome fine
 
Got to go with Mousasi on this one. More experienced, more active, and is riding a 4 fight win finishing streak in the year Rockhold has spent away since getting finished by Bisping.

Mousasi has a good chin, and who knows how Rockhold is going to respond coming off that upset.
 
I think Luke gets Gegard down and beats the crap out of him on the ground...3rd round tko Luke Rockhold
