Can You Think of a Time When You Really Really Enjoyed Some Delicious Bread?

When I was a kid my family would get fresh hot bread that you cut yourself and it's a wonderful memory :D

San Francisco. The bread place on the Pier. Fucking delicious.

I had very bad advice and planning on my first time making weight (MT event) and it was the typical stupid shit they prescribe to all fighters: no carbs, super high protein, extremely low calories.

On my "cheat day", I binged on bread and fruits. It wasn't even junk food, yet it tasted like heaven.

Sure.
Although not often lately on the diet :(

I had a corned beef on rye from a good restaurant this past week.
Mmmmmmm.

Last night
Pan seared muskovy duck (freshly slaughtered by yours truly) served with sauteed onions and bell peppers, with a nice fresh creamy coleslaw and a warm loaf of fresh baked bread, all prepared by my loving wife.

And now I want the leftovers.

It's January man. We're supposed to wait a few more weeks before we eat bread.

Stalingrad, 1942, bread is all I eat, tovarisch.

I go to this Italian spot that makes bread and gives u this amazing olive based oil on side.

I work with an Amish man and his daughter made my daughter some last week. I picked it up from his house and it was still warm from the oven.

Does this count?

I had this last week at a local korean resto. Shit's good. The one i had looks more decadent that i posted.

I recall a loaf on a summer's day,
In my youth.
The sweet, flour'y fragrance heady and robust
The sounds of French pleasantries and the Seine above it all.
Toasted Wonder bread, I shoved it in my eager butthole.
Ah, Paris.

Despite living in Toronto for over twenty years, the bread that really made me go wow was one I found in Taipei

Apparently a dude here won the Master Baker in the bread category in a global competition, and this is the bread he won with.

It contains dried fruit in red wine sauce, and nuts. Very delicious.

Enjoying some now. Not as good the day after, but still good.

Thank you. That's really interesting.

It's rare that I'm not baking some.

This Guinness, Marmite and honey sourdough was one of my favourites.

This was a batch made on a course a few years back.

Almost daily. I bake my own and makes the place smell "heavenly".
