Fallout 4 is free for all Xbox Live Gold members and Steam users this weekend, Bethesda Softworks said today.

The free trial begins tomorrow, May 25 and runs until Sunday, May 28. Mod support is included in the trial (but not any of the game's premium downloadable content).

The game is free to download and play beginning at 12:01 a.m. PT Thursday (tonight) through 11:59 PM PT May 28 on Xbox Live. A Gold membership is needed. On Steam, the free trial runs from 10 a.m. PT on Thursday to 1 p.m. PT on Sunday.

Those who like what they play can buy it at a 67 percent off discount through the trial period. The discount extends to May 29 at 10 a.m. PT for Steam users.

Bethesda's E3 keynote will be Sunday, June 11 at 7 p.m. PT. The publisher is also part of the E3 Coliseum event that is open to the public at The Novo theater in Los Angeles.
