Kind of a paradox since its one of the most shallow divisions, but look at that killer top 5 (i'm not counting michael the bum bisping) :

1- Romero
2- Rockhold
3- Whitaker
4- Mousasi
5- Jacare

And you could also add Weidman to that. Too bad bisping fucked it all up, but i'm really looking forward to watch romero-whitaker, one of the most exciting bouts in a long time !

Bisping is part of the actual top 5.

Other than that yes, it has the best top 10 probably.

Bisping
Romero
Rockhold
Whittaker
Mousasi
Jacare
Weidman
ANDY! Andy Andy Andy!
Gastelum
Brunson

Best top 10 ever in a division

being champ means only that you have the belt... not that you are the best fighter or top 5 best fighters....

When you shertards will understand that ?

What proof is there that Bisping is not one of the top 5 best fighters? Has he lost to the other top 5 fighters? He's 1-1 with Rockhold and hasn't fought the others.

WAR King.

Well there you go he's practically undefeated against the top 5.

Probably the weakest MW division in a while. The best guys just got old, and a bunch of ageing guys that had the chance to make the top 5 most of their career, but never did, suddenly bounced up.
1. Romero is 40, and has started fighting once a year. His best win is a controversial SD against Jacare.
2. Rockhold hasn't won a fight in 18 months, is coming off a loss, and seems broken. (has one win against the current top 10). Vitor an Bisping gave us an idea how he would fare vs the top guys back in the days.
3. Whittaker has one win against the current top 10
4. Mousasi has one win against the current top 10
5. Jacare, coming off a loss 2-2 in his last 4, and has one win against the current top 10. Has looked worse than in years.

Champ: Michael Bisping. Has done great, but never got Close to the belt when the real good guys, like Vitor, Hendo, Anderson, Franklin were on top. Now he is beating all the top 10 opponents he fights.

I AM NOT TRYING TO BE NEGTIVE HERE, BUT COME ON... These guys would all lose to the best guys back in the day..

What happens when you beat one of the top 5 you fucking retard?

I dunno I think MW is kinda old. Not as old as LHW or HW, but pretty old.
I prefer seeing divisions like LW where everybody at the top is in their 20s.

Well, the lighter the division the more important youth is generally. And LW still has plenty of top 10s in their 30s.

No, not a chance, at all.
What is so great is that we got a small glimpse of it, when the best of the bunch got to fight Vitor before his decline. The same Vitor that never was good enough to reach the top when Anderson was champ.

Anderson in his prime would be destroyed by Romero.
