I think the unintentional head butt hurt him quite badly, he should have tried to stay on the ground with upkicks for as long as possible to clear his head. He got up too quickly in my opinion.

Great win for Pitbull though, he dropped him in the first, too.

Thomson is p4p most underrated handsome fighter there is. If he was normal height it would be game over
 
Josh is at least 2 years removed from his purime (2004-2014 or early 15)

in his purime he was only finished by a top 3 LW at the time with an insane KO that rarely happens, and he went up against some of the best LWs out there from guys dating back to Franca and Bang to guys like Kawajiri and Giblert and Benson to guys like Tony Ferguson

In his purime he was competitive with everyone he fought besides Kawajiri and arguably Tony if u consider that him in his purime (debatable but he clearly hasnt been the same guy since that drubbing). Hes one of the most underrated LWs ever with a handful of decisions that couldve and couple that shouldve gone his way. Not many LWs in history were more complete than him

With that said Josh is better than Nate and Nate is not an "elite fighter"

Nate wasnt even a top 10 LW for like 70% of his career. Nate debuted in 2004 and he wasnt a top 10 guy until the start of 2012 after beating Cowboy. He mightve dropped out after getting rekt by Benson and Josh or just barely scraping on till RDA murked him. Then he heclaimed a top 10 spot with the Michael win.

So Nates had like 3-4 years of his career as a bottom 10 LW peaking at #5 one time in his career in 2012 behind Benson, Frankie, Giblert and Gray.

The Diaz fight was almost 4 years ago. Thomson has gone downhill and gotten older.

Fedor got KO'd by a middleweight. A few years before that he was killing top guys. were those guys "far from elite fighters"?

Thomson is way past his prime and the injuries caught up . these fights are years apart and ur reaching to just bash on nate.

I guess rumble sucks too since he lost to a ww in koscheck who just lost in the first round too
