Dana said he offered Fedor and Vadummy a huge UFC deal to fight Brock back in the day and they laughed at him. Then Dana told him, to put in kindly, you are 1 punch away from being worth $0.

Since that meeting, Fedor's lost to Werdum, Bigfoot and Henderson. Then he nearly gets ko'd by Maldonado and now he trains for this big ass fight and it gets cancelled on fight night!

Dana getting his hex game on. Maybe it's time Mr. Fedor join the UFC sooner than later before Dana puts the next needle in lol.

Dana acted like himself and that was pretty much a deal breaker for Fedor.

I think the UFC is far past caring about Fedor or trying to acquire him.

Where did Dana go wrong?

How about:

- making derogatory stereotypes about Fedors people

- hitting him with an indentured servant contract

- prohibiting Fedor from competing in Combat Sambo(Only entered into MMA to make a living to keep competing in sambo)

- talking trash about Fedors career for years prior(even though the very people Daner nominated as "GOATs" called Fedor GOAT themselves LEL)

- etc

Money doesn't mean squat to some people lad... i.e. not everyone is a prostitute.

Put the crack pipe down...

Fedor and his management team were in conflict with the UFC over issues related to power within the contract. Fedor and his management team demanded a high amount of autonomy, both for Fedor personally as well as for his brand within the sport. The UFC found this to be unreasonable. The UFC cannot simply say, "well, we couldn't come to agreement with Fedor because we like to control our fighters as much as possible, and pay them as little as possible." Instead, when both sides weren't coming to terms, Dana started to be Dana.

He started to insult Fedor, attack his legacy, and speak poorly of Fedor's managers (and friends). In response, well, Fedor and his managers essentially said, "well we're not really able to work things out with Dana White and the UFC." And went and signed a contract elsewhere.

Unfortunately for Fedor, he started to age in the meantime. And, in continuation with his training mentality prior to the Tim Silvia and Arlovski fights -- and therefore before ever losing -- Fedor wasn't training like he used to. As one of his former managers and one of his trainers said, 'Sasha (Fedor) has not been preparing with the same hunger as he has previously, but continues to win because of his old tricks.' The "his old tricks" bit is an exact quote. But those old tricks would only carry him so far, as his body continued to age, and he wasn't training nearly as hard as he used to. He went through a few losses, focused on other areas in life. And, well, he isn't the same athlete and fighter that he once was.

But Fedor is still the greatest heavyweight MMA fighter of all time, and is one of the greatest MMA fighters in general of all. (And really, to speak on that point, only Fedor and GSP are in the running without having ever been flagged for cheating. Jones and Anderson have both been confirmed as cheaters.) Meanwhile, Dana made a bundle of fucking money being Dana, but being fortunate enough to have very wealthy and influential friends.

Money means something to Fedor though, considering he has been mailing it in for a pay day for a while now.

Didn't Fedor want M-1 Global to be part of the promotion or something? If so, that shit was never happening.

Fedor is the man.

But his time is up.

Accept it.

dana was being dana and some people have self respect to not dela with his nonsense for money.

Ever understand the basic concept of being a COMPETITOR?

Dude loves the fight game. He's training his own stable of fighters and obviously still wants to go a few more rounds before hanging up the gloves.

Why not? The dude has NOTHING left to prove in the sport he DOMINATED for over a DECADE.

When Dana said "HUGE DEAL" he meant 15k/15k oh and don't forget about that 5k Reebok money baby!!

Side note: Reebok is gay as fuck, it would be weird to see Fedor in Reebok gear.

Has nothing to do with dana's slimy ass.

Dana is a sciopathic asshole. You don't work for him unless over the barrel/strapped or he has you locked into a contract. Look at all these guys with cash who wanted out Conor/Aldo/GSP etc. Fedor was never over the barrel. Guy was a multimillionaire and lived like monk, in cheap russia. No way was he gonna sign with dana and company.
