We hear you and we're sorry. We've been slow to respond to your letter and slow to respond to your frustrations. Here is an update on what we're working on.

I wonder if GitHub itself can use its own issues system for prioritizing feature requests and bugs :-)

But, make it modifiable mostly by users who use github regularly, to avoid simple newbie misunderstandings.

Should this be merged so everybody will see it in README?

@igorshubovych it's currently 645AM where @thejameskyle lives, when he's up and around he'll most likely merge it. Give it time. :)

+1 for the "We want to make sharing feedback with GitHub less of a black box experience and we want to hear your ideas and concerns regularly.".

Thank you Github. I'm looking forward to hearing more about what's on your radar and how you want to engage around the engineering investments you are making. I really like how the VSTS team are providing insight into their roadmap and I'd love to see Github provide something similiar.

Keep up the good work and looking forward!

I'm sure I can speak for a lot of the original authors that we're very happy to receive this response. I'm eager to see GitHub start shipping things that make a real impact in our work.

:shipit:

PS: Damn you people with your +1's.
