If CNN’s Matthew Chance is hungry I’ll be glad to feed him. No one needs to be digging through the trash for a meal.

I’m 99.99% certain the Russian Troll Farm evidence was already known in the US government and was simply handed to Mueller’s team to take credit for so that the Special Counsel could be seen doing something about Russia Russia Russia, and this evidence was not collected or developed by Mueller.

The deep state needed something to try to bolster the legitimacy of the Special Counsel in light of what the Congressional investigations were turning up as to the shady origins of the Russia-Trump investigation.

They want to keep the investigation going in the run-up to the mid-terms, so that Mueller can hand congress a secret file of alleged Trump obstruction and other wrongdoing that the Dems can leak and otherwise use in the mid-term elections.

Did they work a tenth as hard looking for BO’s birth certificate?

They never have to close the investigation as long as the indictments are hanging out there. Just 13 open cases.

Great post, all of it. Rosenstein and Mueller have been at or near the top of the deep state command for years. From the looks of things they've locked Trump down to protests over Twitter too. Hopefully that's wrong but I've still not seen any true evidence anyone in the DOJ is actually investigating anyone who was in government under Obama, and Sessions has testified he feels this is inappropriate as it appears political. The IG report is often mentioned but that is officially only a "review" of the Hillary e-mail investigation and the results will likely just be referred back to the deep state for possible action, of which there may be none. Would like to be incorrect but right now it appears we're getting rolled. They have plenty of evidence to do something already if they were going to.

So the CNN reporter is working in Russia, trying as hard as he can to find physical evidence of a Russian intelligence operation, at the building where he suspects it is. He’ll be lucky if he just winds up persona non grata about 24 hours from now.

It’s hard to be too cynical about this. People seem to be placing a lot of hope in the forthcoming IG report but they may end up disappointed. It may turn out to be a rather weak document merely recommending slight changes to DOJ policies and procedures to encourage public confidence in federal law enforcement.

What we need, and have needed for quite some time, is a new Special Counsel genuinely independent from the longtime DOJ/FBI/IC establishment and from the Clintons and Obama to investigate and prosecute wrongdoing in the fixing of the Hillary investigation, the use of government process such as FISA warrants, FiveEyes capabilities and unmasking to spy on a political opponent, the leak by Comey of government material to corruptly cause the appointment of a special prosecutor as revenge for his own firing, and so forth.

There has been a shift recently in the talking points by both the Dems and GOPe. Before, Mueller’s role was described as necessary because of the need to investigate suspected crimes involving coordination/links between the Trump campaign and the Putin regime.

Now, Mueller’s role is described as conducting a counterintelligence investigation against Russia for meddling in the election, of which only a part is to look for any coordination with the Trump campaign. Of course, we didn’t need a special counsel to investigate Russian meddling not involving Trump. The FBI, CIA and the rest of the intel community did that before the Mueller appointment, and continue to do that after the Mueller appointment.

But as the origin and motivation of the Trump-Russia investigation looks increasingly questionable, they need to justify Mueller in another way, and to protect them all from being held criminally accountable for wrongdoing.

A Youtube vlogger says that a Russian publication wrote all about the Click Farm last fall and WaPo wrote an article based on that not long after. Mueller seems to have gotten his information from those two articles.
