Russian Su-34 bombers, additionally equipped with air-to-air missiles, have set out on their first mission in Syria, said Igor Klimov, spokesman for the Russian Air Force.
"Today, Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers have made their first sortie equipped not only with high explosive aviation bombs and hollow charge bombs, but also with short- and medium-range air-to-air missiles," Klimov said.

Interesting.
I would love to see Russia destroy ISIS, make Erdogan look like a fool (and by extension Obama). Anything that makes Obama and the democRATS look like an a$$, is fine by me. Obama hates America and loves ISIS, so when Putin destroys ISIS, he is also helping America.
He is helping the American people, while throwing a monkey wrench into the workings of the American government.
I’d rather they put a couple of SU-35s or SU-37s in the air on CAP. Then let the Turks scramble their fighters - and lose a few.
It still feels weird to root for the Russians...
The absence of a CAP is a little strange.
That’s what I thought when I heard about it initially. Apparently, the Russians underestimated the Turks’ commitment to ISIS, which won’t happen again.
ISIS, prior to Turkey giving them air support, had no such capability.
So a cap wasn’t really needed.
Now that the Turkish airforce is the ISIS air defense detachment...

Just an observation of who benefits from Putin's policy and actions.
Yes! Mission plan for the threat, who suspected the Turks would be so stupid. Now Putin can escalate for the cost of one plane.
Yup.
Didn’t think I’d see Toy Yip Errrdogan pull something so stupid.
He must have thought he had backing from Barry limpwrist our skinny homosexual “president”.
Late to the party, internet down all day.
