Just as SPIKE will be renamed the Paramount Channel. Paramount is similar to Ultimate.

I don't understand why Paramount does not promote Bellator, which they own, like they did the UFC when it was on SPIKE. Bellator should be on every single day with "Best of" shows, reruns, etc.

Sherdoggers need to understand that Viacom see's Bellator as cheap programming on the two lowest rated TV nights.
They are not in the MMA industry, but the TV industry.
Bellator is cheap programming on a lower-middle rated cable channel.
 
I actually think Bellator is a great name for an MMA promotion (they basically own the "Bellator" name if you Google it), but Paramount MMA wouldn't be the worst name in the world either, and makes it sound big league to be attached to a major Hollywood studio.

Without checking, I'm sure Bellator in 2017 had has more events than the UFC did in 2005. Just checked. By a fucking mile!

thats also what UFC is to Fox. Filler for their Fox Sports channel in between NASCAR and baseball.

They offered $3.6b for the company & rumored to be offering over $300m a year for the next TV contract

Renaming Spike is a terrible idea.

they paid more for NFL, MLB and Nascar. Its obvious they dont prioritize UFC in their programming.
 
I must be the only one who likes the name Bellator. I think it's original and cool as hell.
