Everton FC: David Moyes lined up to replace Ronald Koeman should under-fire boss lose his job (tweets)

Ronald Koeman could lose his job as Everton manager today, should the Toffees lose to Arsenal in the early afternoon kick-off.

The Merseyside outfit have claimed victory in just two of their eight Premier League matches so far, while they also sit last in their Europa League group having picked up just one point from three games.

Farhad Moshiri, majority shareholder of the Goodison Park club, is considering whether to show Koeman the door, and a home defeat to the Gunners could be the final straw.

And reports claim Moshiri has already identified the man he wants to replace Koeman - and it is a familiar face.

David Moyes is in the frame to return to Goodison Park, four years after leaving Everton to take up the Manchester United job following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.

He was sacked by the Red Devils inside his debut season, and endured further unsuccessful spells with Real Sociedad and Sunderland. Despite his struggles since leaving Goodison, reports indicate Moyes is still held in high regard by those in power in the blue half of Merseyside.

But what do the fans think of Moyes potentially returning to Everton? You can see some of the best Twitter reactions to the reports below...
