The excellent SteamWorld series is discounted on Steam right now

If you haven't jumped in on SteamWorld on PC yet, you can get the whole series pretty cheap.

All three games in the SteamWorld series - SteamWorld Dig, SteamWorld Heist (and its DLC), and the relatively recent release SteamWorld Dig 2 - are cheap on Steam right now.

The first game is reduced down to $1.99, in case you missed it when it was free on Origin a few months ago (or just really want it on Steam). It's a great game, but it's now been usurped somewhat by its brilliant sequel, SteamWorld Dig 2. You can save a hefty 25% on that one, bringing it down to just $14.99.

Both games are about digging deep underground, and turn into Metroidvania-like experiences, except that you're building the pathways forward yourself. They're both wonderful games.

SteamWorld Heist, and its 'Outsider' DLC, is also on sale. Heist is a 2D XCom-style strategy game where you guide armed robots into battle on various enemy spacecraft, and it legitimately rules. It's fairly challenging, but also more engrossing than you might expect, with a smart system of rules in place and an great look to it.

If you want to grab the whole lot, you can pick up the SteamWorld Complete Bundle (and if you open this page you can click through to the individual sales. You'll get all of this at a further 10% discount in the bundle, bringing the price down to $23.31. Solid.

This sale will only run for 24 hours, though, so get in quick.
