Makes me wonder how something like this gets put together. Does Thor Cramer do a search of a database of scripts for each number, then select the hits from movies he has in his personal collection? Or is there some niftier, simpler way to do it?
Whatever he did, there were some fun editing choices in terms of pacing and timing, and I was surprised by how many of the clips I recognized even if I only had a second to register them.

This seems like a riff on the 2010 art installation piece The Clock which is a 24-hour montage of movie and TV clips that feature real-time references to the current time in them.

Ten years ago I made a similar video (that actually made the Blue), but I used full quotes instead of just the numbers. So this is very deja vu for me.
I remember the effort I had to make to find some of the numbers, while other numbers were obvious choices. And yet, I didn't see any repeats with this new selection. Amazing.

I saw bits of The Clock (from around 9:30 pm to near-midnight) and I think it would be wonderful if it could be ported to the Internet so that one could watch it at one's leisure. It could either be anchored to a single location (i.e. always in synch with, say, NYC, or geolocated to be timed with your location. The latter would be more elegant but either way I think it is perfectly designed for online residency.

Genuinely surprised fifty wasn't Cool Hand Luke. I mean, I like Escape from New York as much as the next person... but it's no fifty eggs.

ThorC1138 specifically says (down in the comments) that a) AlonzoMoselyFBI was his inspiration, not The Clock, and b) he tried to avoid numbers that other people already had used in similar films (for example, Alonzo chose the 50 Cool Hand eggs).
Alonzo obviously took his MeFi name from a movie (one of my favorites); I wonder if ThorC1138 got his YouTube identity from one as well.

As of me too eager to know did he searched 100 clips and edited 100 of them. If yes how much time would have been given to do it? And the last count of 0-10 really makes the best effect of the countdown.

I agree entirely but I suspect there are copyright reasons why this does not happen.
I went to see The Clock two or three times when it was in Toronto, each time staying for ninety minutes or more. One thing I learned is that a lot of things happen in westerns at noon, or shortly before.
The other thing I learned -- well, let me give you a bit of my internal monologue from one viewing. "Okay, I am supposed to meet Jason at 2:00, so I should just pull out my phone and check the current t... huh. I guess there is no need."

I loved both of these videos, but I'm a little surprised that neither included this (skip to 1:27 if it doesn't happen automatically). Admittedly, it's not the best version of the line, but it's the only one in an actual movie.
[This is not meant in a "you left my favorite band off your top-100 list!" kind of way. I really did love both videos.]
