the ‘platoon sound sculptures’ by paul bart and marvin bratke where part of an interactive performance at platoon art space berlin. the audience was tracked and three dimensionally scanned using microsoft kinect cameras. a digital representation was created through the use of CAD software, where a non representational collage of the whole space was formed with 3D printed models. the sculptures capture the motion of the visitors as well as the music played and directly influenced the 3D models.

the studio invested themselves in the development of architectural movements integrating synthetic ecologies with shifting material states and electronic information infrastructures. the two creative mind’s focused on the investigation, representation and innovation through the strategic combination of architecture, media arts, film and urbanism. the ‘platoon sound sculptures’ by bart//bratke leveraged those themes to rethink what architecture might be and to create intricately crafted 3D printed models.
