The Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang haven't been hurting for great commentary, particularly with Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski covering figure skating. But with figure skating wrapping up, the Games were about to face a sudden lack of Adam Rippon, which is apparently a prospect that NBC couldn't bear.

According to USA Today, just as it seemed that bronze medal-winning Rippon was officially done in Pyeongchang, NBC announced that the breakout Olympic star would be staying on as a commentator for the remainder of the Games. This is great news because Rippon has a reputation for being sharp and off-the-cuff, so the more time he spends in front of a microphone, the better.
