Survival management games like Symmetry are a guilty pleasure of mine. They can sometimes be very stressful and frustrating, but are super engaging and have an amazing sense of reward if you are able to survive and complete your objective. That's why I was glad to see that developer Sleepless Clinic and publisher IMGN.PRO announced a release date for Symmetry, their sci-fi survival management game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Symmetry will release on the aforementioned consoles on February 20. While the PC version of the game will only cost players $11.99, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are priced at $17.99. To go alongside this announcement, Dariusz Leczycki, Co-Owner of Sleepless Clinic, described his studio's game for those curious:

"“As a survival management game, Symmetry's storyline will propel you forward toward big payoffs depending upon the strategies employed across the survivors. At first look, Symmetry is basic, old school looking game, but don’t be fooled, it is complex, compelling, and most of all, fun, and possesses a storyline that you don’t see coming.”

In Symmetry, players control a group of survivors who crashlanded onto an abandoned planet. This planet is freezing cold has unpredictable weather, encouraging players to work fast in order to fix the damaged ship. This, of course, results in lots of planning and micromanagement, as players need to satisfy many different needs of the survivors while also repairing the ship. The survivors randomize in every playthrough, giving players different skills and restrictions to work off of each playthrough.

The game also has nice looking hand-drawn pastel Vector graphics, and an ambient soundtrack to add to the direness of the situation. Once players beat the main story, the will unlock an endless Survival mode to test out their skills and see how long they can last.
