Bandai Namco has revealed a new trailer for Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom just in time for Gamescom 2017. The trailer showcases the game’s new combat system for dynamic battles alongside Level-5’s emotional story. Get the tissues ready, I’ve got something in my eye.

The events of Ni No Kuni II are set hundreds of years after the original game and feature an all-new cast of characters in a new story, with players taking control of Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a young usurped king of the cat tribe, as he sets out on an adventure to reclaim his kingdom. He bands together with Roland, a visitor from another world, and Tani, the daughter of the boss of air pirates. I just want to clarify, yes he actually was the king of the cat tribe.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is due for release on January 19, 2018 on PS4 and PC.
