Reader Discussion – What Game Has The Best Ending Ever?
As a writer, I know endings are difficult to put together. As a gamer, I don't always feel satisfied with how games wrap up their plots, and when I come across an especially satisfying conclusion, it sticks with me. The Last of Us was one of those games: It tied together its narrative threads neatly, and was filled with fitting dramatic emotion.
Some video games excel not just at storytelling, but in particular excel at creating endings that are near perfect. It's a rare occurrence, but when it happens, it's incredibly memorable. What game do you think has a great ending? Or in contrast, which game do you think has the worst?
