Walmart: XBOX One Play and Charge Kit Possibly Only $12 (Regularly $24.99)

XBOX Charge KitWalmart shoppers! Be sure to be on the lookout for an XBOX One Play and Charge Kit possibly on clearance for just $12! These play and charge kits regularly go for $24.99, so this seem like a great deal if you can find them near you.

*NOTE – You can check to see if this item is in-stock at your local Walmart and what the prices are before heading out. To see, just copy the Item ID# 42396598 and go here to search (check out my post here for more details). Keep in mind that this item may not be marked correctly in-store, so be sure to price check.

(Thanks, Sharon!)

Thanks OP, just so happened to be in Walmart when I read the thread. Grabbed one of the last 2 left.

Had a clearance marker on it, but it was in the glass case

Hey Guys,

Just picked up my two Charge kits, and wanted to share the info.  The Greenville Walmart of woodruff rd has plenty of these at that price!  Sorry for the sideways pictures, had my hands full!

Thanks OP!

Picked up one of the last two from the WM down the street from me in Boynton Beach, FL.

Was hoping to find one of these on sale to go with my new Elite controller from TRU. Perfect timing!!

Will these replace the complete battery back?  Kid lost several battery backs on controllers - would be nice if this fixed that as well. :)

No. They're the battery pack and cable only. There are a few kinds of charge kits that do come with controller backs though.

Looks like a few walmarts in my area have it in stock. I don't really NEED it at the moment as I have an XBONE controller, but only use it on my pc. I don't have an XBONE.

This is basically just a micro-usb cable and a rechargeable battery, correct ?

FYI: You don't need a battery in the controller to use it on PC. You just connect any micro-usb cable to your PC. If I'm not mistaken I had issues when normal batteries are in it anyways while plugged in.

If batteries aren't rechargeable, it isn't advised to put them into the controller while plugged in anyways. Otherwise you're just asking for trouble.

Thanks for the heads up OP, I picked one up at the Concord Commons location in Concord, NC. The glass case in the Xbox area was all blacked out so I had to get someone to open the case and check. There were a few in there and the one I got did ring up for $12.

I'm not sure how you could have issues using normal batteries while having it plugged in. The rechargeable batteries connect to a different connector than normal batteries.

Got 2 thanks OP. They are clearing their inventory out for new remodel. They had about 20 Halo Reach collectors editions ($40) and halo 5 limited editions ($50)

I already have two of them (and three controllers), so I could use a third.  One store nearby is showing plenty of stock at $12, but I really don't feel like going back out today.  Why can't the online (store pickup) price be the same?

Thanks for the heads up! I live 12 minutes away off of Augusta but I'm not sure if it is worth getting. I feel that getting the $26 Sanyo Eneloop combo with 12 batteries from Costco is a better deal

Just my personal opinion.

But I think youre FAR better off buying some rechargeable AA batteries.

These play and charge kits lose their charges over time, and unless you sit really close to your TV I imagine its rather difficult to play while its charging.  I remember I bought the official one on my xbox 360 and it lost almost 100% of its charge over around 2 years.

I think you can get a 16 pack (or 32) of rechargeable AA batteries which will last you a lifetime and be usable for all other things, plus it will work BETTER, all for around the same price.

Thanks op was able to pick up 3 today and also a 4GB vita memory card for $1.25! It was marked $2.50 but rang up half off that as well.[attachment=21743:image.jpeg][attachment=21744:image.jpeg]. Sorry for sideways pics was in a hurry.

Brickseek showed them at $20.00 in the early AM when I saw the thread and $12.00 at a store half an hour away but the closer store now shoes $12.00.
I got one a while back on a huge discount, so I have been using one for a while. I only have two controllers but think I might pick up 2 more so I can have a backup.

Not to mention you don't need to have a cable plugged into a running Xbox to charge those, and you can use them in millions of other devices.

You don't have to plug it into the xbox to charge. I plug mine into USB adapter blocks by my couch since my Xbox is too far away and that works just fine.

Ive done that as well.

But a 16 pack of rechargeable batteries will give you truly wireless game-play, and should last you the entirety of the xbone lifespan without issues. Hell probably will last you through the xbox two as well

To be fair, a 16 pack of quality rechargeables and corresponding charger is going to run you a lot more than $12.

Thanks op, managed to snag one. Should have bought the other one too but didn't.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with a headset that reverts to a higher than normal volume when changing batteries/turning on the controller so this will save me a lot of headache!

I slept late today and still have a ton of energy so I went to Walmart. I checked on Brickseek again while I was there and it still showed +2 available but I couldn't find any anywhere. I asked the electronics guy where they might be and mentioned that I thought they might have been clearances that day. I was pointed towards some discount stuff but told that if I couldn't find them then they might have sold already.
So after I left, I decided to drive half an hour away to the next closest Walmart; I was on a mission. I got there at 11:30 only to find that it was not open. I did not even know that there were still Walmarts that were not open 24 hours. This one had closed at 11.
Oh well, I might head back tomorrow. At the very least, I should be able to snap up some of the brand new season 5 Shopkins for my daughter.

Huh guess I got pretty lucky. My $90 Elite Controller from Amazon Warehouse had a Xbox One rechargeable battery in the controller when it arrived.

So its a rechargeable battery pack that goes in the controller and it has a charging cable with it so you can charge the controller while you play? Kind of like a ps3/ps4 controller?

Yeah, except if it stops working, you don't have to take apart the controller to replace it. ;)

My local Walmart has their usual retarded spin on it. $19 and in stock. HUH

Guess I can pick that up with the Michael Jackson Experience on PS3 that's clearanced at $29.99...

You aren't from southeast Missouri are you? The Walmart closest to me closed at 11, they used to be 24/7 but I think they had a lot of theft on overnights so they started closing.

I just picked up 3 at my local that were tagged the same $19 clearance. I had checked on brickseek.com beforehand and saw they were $12 though and that's what they actually rang up as

Nope (I am from Northwest Missouri though, born and raised in Independence). I'm living in SC and the store that was closed was in tiny Manning, SC.

Try living in NY,no walmart on long island is open passed 11pm, not a single one. I really wish just one was, i enjoy walmart at 3am when no ones barely there, we always do that as a family on vacation in PA or Florida

Nothing says family vacation like going to WalMart at three in the morning just so you can be one of the only people there.

This is the first time with one of these YMMV deals that my nearest store was actually near and, more importantly, ACTUALLY had the item in stock! Picked up two. Neither was marked as or placed in clearance section, but rang up $12 anywho. Thanks OP!
