SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS Iraq hasn't enough mental health professionals to handle the legions of traumatized children who, because of ISIS, saw and did things they never should have. But if enough teachers can be found, schools could help put them on a path to healing.
AMMAN, JORDANIn camps for internally displaced persons and in the war-torn towns and villages of western Iraq, there is one legacy of the so-called Islamic States brutal reign whose magnitude experts and authorities are only beginning to understand: traumatized children.
From the stateless children of ISIS members, to child soldiers and the tens of thousands indoctrinated in ISIS schools, a generation of young Iraqis has been traumatized and radicalized by the nihilistic jihadist group. They are at war with themselves and their own community.
In the words of one trauma specialist, many of these children have, as a result, lost their trust in humans and humanity.
Unless authorities and the international community work to help reintegrate these children into society, including by providing counseling and psychiatric care, experts warn that Iraq and Syria will face a generational time-bomb of extremism, deliberately planted by ISIS, that could one day again threaten regional stability.
Experts warn, too, of a lack of trained mental health professionals to deal directly with the childrens emotional wounds, but they hold out hope for one solution that may be more within reach: If enough teachers can be found, getting the kids back in a school environment could create the stability needed for some healing.

Like sick animals, many will have to be put down, sooner or later.
The good people trying to help will themselves be assassinated.
Like those 8-year olds kneeling at their football game.
So islamists who were acting as good muslims are going to help kids who were carrying out allahs will? Uh what am I missI got?
The jihadiscum created them.
Our own domestic enemy, in its overwhelming need to allow its ‘feelz!’ to dominate their thinking, along with their degenerate need to support any enemy anywhere at any time simply because its our enemy, is what planted those timebombs among us.
They simply cannot be deprogrammed. Don’t bring them here.
The ISIS kids are only part of the problem. There are thousands of kids that have witnessed the torture and killing of their families. Many young girls who were taken as sex slaves cannot go home because they have suffered “dishonor”.
The Free Burma Rangers rescued a number of traumatized kids.
One little girl watched her whole family get shot while trying to flee ISIS. She hid for two days under her dead mother’s hijab, pinned down by sniper fire until she was rescued. She could not speak a word for several days. These children will need love and care. Thankfully there are some kind Iraqis and some great Christian Charities that are willing to help.
Islam has never been a religion of peace.
It has always been a religion of conquest and slavery, murder and mayhem.
Know Islam, No Peace
No Islam, Know Peace
Don’t tell Pelosi.....
obviously, the best solution is a return of refugees so that their population can instill normalcy in the lives of the children. Foreigners, no matter how well intentioned, just add to the detachment.
Yep, sort of like the Media/Democrats are doing with minority youth: teach them to hate whitey/America from birth to maintain their power base without any thought as to the consequences.
