Towerfall dev's upcoming platformer Celeste confirmed for Switch

Along with PS4 and Steam.

Last summer Towerfall developer Matt Thorson announced a new single-player 2D platformer called Celeste and now that game has been confirmed for a Nintendo Switch release later this year.

It will also be coming to PS4 and Steam.

As you can see in the following trailer, Celeste is a series of single-screen challenges, much in the vein of Super Meat Boy. The game focuses on the titular character, a spunky redhead, trying to climb a mountain. It appears to be a haunted mountain too, by the looks of it, what with all the creepy ghosts and a gothic mansion that wouldn't look out of place in an early Castlevania adventure.

Now if only Thorson could bring Towerfall to Switch. It is indeed the perfect party game for on-the-go group shenanigans!
