A trio of classic Street Fighter games are coming to the 3DS Virtual Console this week

Not Fei Long to wait for these to drop.

The agonisingly slow drip drip drip of new SNES games on the New 3DS' Virtual Console turns into a bruising gush this week, with three classic Street Fighter games on their way to Nintendo's handheld, as announced by Nintendo UK's Twitter account.

Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers and Street Fighter Alpha 2 are all due on July 28th, and while the prices haven't been disclosed just yet (though it's likely they'll be £7.19, in line with other SNES games on the 3DS) there will be a buy two get one free offer available until August 11th.

Released in 1993, Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting is perhaps the most iconic iteration of Capcom's fighting game, while Street Fighter 2 Alpha is the most technologically advanced that appeared on the SNES. Alongside Star Ocean, it was one of only two games to utilise the S-DD1 chip which ensured a robust if not entirely faithful arcade port.

Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, however, is the one I have the strongest memories of, having somehow managed to raise £100 to pick up the import version from a shop in Slough way back when, all to get a headstart with the amazing Fei Long. All of a sudden that £7.19 for the 3DS version doesn't seem so steep.
